Bruce N. Cameron, J.D.

Bio

Professor Bruce N. Cameron teaches Labor Law, Employment Discrimination with a Focus on Faith, and supervises the Right to Work Legal Scholarship course. He administers the Right to Work Practicum where students can work with him on litigation.

Professor Cameron was an Andrews Scholar and a legal intern with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, U.S. Department of Justice, and was selected for DOJ honors attorney recruitment following graduation. He was a member of the Virginia State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (2015–2019) and a member of the Board of Trustees of Andrews University (2024–2026). He is a Director of the Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, Colleges, and Universities (2022–present) and serves on the Executive Board of the James Kent Inn of Court (2026–present). He is a member of the Federalist Society, the Christian Legal Society, several state bars, and numerous federal bars, including the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court.

His interests outside the law include sports cars, motorcycles, sailing, riding a racing trike, and studying and teaching the Bible.

Publications and Litigation

Professor Cameron is the author of 42 published articles on religion, constitutional law, the rights of religious dissenters, and labor law. He is the co-author, with Thomas Haggard, of the third and fourth editions of Understanding Employment Discrimination Law (LexisNexis/Carolina Academic Press). He also co-authored a section of the judicial handbook A Judicial Guide to Labor and Employment Law, published by Lawyers Weekly Publications.

He is the author of the weekly Bible studies at GoBible.org, where he has published more than 1,000 studies. His GoBible blog on Substack has more than 24,000 subscribers.

Cameron serves on the staff of the National Right to Work Legal Defense and Education Foundation and has been part of its litigation team for more than 50 years.
