Jonathan Hoover, Ph.D.

Bio

Jonathan Hoover is the senior associate pastor at NewSpring Church in Wichita, Kansas, while also serving as an assistant professor at Regent University. A third-generation pastor, his specific research interest is clergy burnout and self-care. Hoover received his Ph.D. in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from Grand Canyon University. Additionally, he graduated summa cum laude from Regent University with an M.S. in General Psychology, received the outstanding graduate award, and graduated summa cum laude from Liberty University with a B.S. in Psychology, emphasizing Christian Counseling. He has been academically published in the Journal of Psychology and Christianity, served as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Psychology and Theology, and has been published in the Focus on the Family magazine.

Hoover is blessed by a loving and supportive family. His wife, Wendy, serves alongside him on the staff of NewSpring Church. He has two amazing daughters, Cheyenne and Summer.
