Mike Sinclair, M.A.

Bio

Mike Sinclair is a television producer, writer and director who has created wide-ranging television projects in a variety of genres. After earning his B.A. in Communication from Grove City College, he made the journey to Virginia Beach, where he earned his M.A. in Communication from Regent University. His research interests include the origins and Golden Age of Television, industry trends and new technologies, and televisions evolving role in shaping culture.

Sinclair started his television career working in public television as a cultural and public affairs producer, then transitioned to developing, producing and directing for cable television. Over his 30-year career, he has created, sold and produced over 1,000 hours of television for broadcast, cable and streaming outlets. He’s also created programs for a host of television networks including TLC, HGTV, FYI, Military Channel, Animal Planet, Reelz, Public Broadcasting Service, American Heroes Channel, Investigation Discovery, Destination America, and OWN.

Additionally, Sinclair has produced television programs that continue to be seen throughout the U.S. and internationally. Some of his producing credits include: The New Detectives, FBI Files, Interpol Investigates, FBI Takedowns, FBI Criminal Pursuit and The Bureau. He has also produced several hard-hitting documentary series, such as American Gangs for Discovery Channel, Inside American Hate for National Geographic Channel and Sex Slaves: Texas Rescue for MSNBC.
