Brian Baugus, Ph.D.
Bio
Dr. Brian Baugus serves as an Associate Professor of Business, Leadership & Management within Regent University’s College of Arts & Sciences. Prior to joining Regent in 2012, he spent five years in the private sector in consulting and banking, followed by five years as a Senior Budget Analyst for the Maryland state legislature. He then discovered a love for adjunct teaching and was inspired by his students to pursue his doctorate and enter academia full-time.
Dr. Baugus has taught at schools in Maryland, Tennessee, and Virginia, and he has lectured in Chile, Malawi, Uganda, and Ghana, in addition to several U.S. campuses. He has an active informal consulting practice, advising think tank leaders in several sub-Saharan African nations, and he sits on the board of the Britain-based Network for a Free Society, which works to bring economic education to poverty-stricken areas around the world.
Dr. Baugus is married with four children and numerous pets. He and his family are active in their church, where he teaches an adult Sunday School class and serves as Financial Secretary and Church Clerk.
