Bonnie Welch, MBA, PHR, SHRM-CP

Bio

Bonnie Welch is a strategic human resources leader with over 20 years of dedicated service to Regent University, where she drives organizational strategy for faculty and staff across a complex, multi-state workforce.  Her expertise spans employment law compliance, employment and retention, policy development, and comprehensive benefits administration; always grounded in a solid moral foundation that aligns with Regent’s faith-based mission.

Welch holds dual certifications as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through the HR Certification Institute (since 2007) and as a SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) through the Society of Human Resource Management (since 2015). She actively contributes to the HR profession through her involvement with the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU), and the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia, Inc (CICV).

Welch earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, graduating Magna Cum Laude and earning Dean’s List recognition.  She went on to complete her Master of Business Administration at Regent University School of Business & Leadership, earning two scholarship awards recognizing her academic excellence, perseverance and leadership potential.
