Regent Ranks Again Among the Nation’s Best Graduate Schools by U.S. News & World Report

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Apr. 8, 2025) – Today, U.S. News & World Report announced that Regent University has been ranked among the 2025-26 Best Graduate Schools in the nation.

Regent Law made history with its highest ranking ever, breaking into the top 100 at 94th in the nation—up 14 spots from the previous year. Additionally, Regent Law has climbed 53 places in just four years—the fastest rise among all law schools in the country over that period.

Regent’s School of Education was also named among the nation’s Best Graduate Schools—coming in at 217, moving up into top tier status. U.S. News evaluated 258 education schools granting doctoral education degrees on research activity, quality assessment, faculty resources, student selectivity, and peer assessments from education school deans and school hiring professionals.

Distinct ranking factors were used to determine the ranking calculations:

Research Activity: Includes total “research and average” expenditures per faculty member.
Quality Assessment: Includes a peer assessment score and educational professionals’ assessment score.
Faculty Resources: Includes total doctoral degrees granted, student-faculty ratio, percentage of faculty with awards, and doctorates granted-faculty ratio.
Student selectivity: Measured by acceptance rate.
