Regent University Partners with the Virginia Beach Jaycees and Establishes a $25K Endowed Scholarship

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Mar. 31, 2025) – Regent University announces a new corporate partnership and a $25K endowed scholarship funded by the Virginia Beach Jaycees—a leadership development organization committed to empowering young people to create positive change within their communities and across the globe— and their 501(c)(3) arm, VB Jaycees Charities.

“We are honored to partner with the Virginia Beach Jaycees in its promise to empower young adults through education and active civic involvement,” said Dr. Claire Foster, Executive Vice President for Advancement & Enrollment at Regent. “Contributing to the personal growth and development of those who will one day shape our communities is a transformative investment in a future of successfully shared responsibility.”

The $25K endowed scholarship at Regent University aims to provide leadership training that supports critical thinking, organizational management and other skill-building qualities that help develop future leaders to effectively serve within the Virginia Beach Jaycees and in their respective professional and community spheres.

In addition, the corporate partnership includes a 50% tuition discount for Virginia Beach Jaycee members pursuing Regent’s Undergraduate Certificate of Leadership Studies and a 25% tuition discount on other undergraduate and graduate programs.

The Virginia Beach Jaycees is a civic organization for 18–40-year-olds that hosts a well-established compliment of events such as the East Coast Surfing Championships and First Citizen of Virginia Beach—raising millions in economic revenue for the Hampton Roads community. The Jaycees also oversee the upkeep and maintenance of the Flame of Hope, a POW/MIA memorial on Oceana Boulevard, and were integral in the founding of the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad and raising funds for the first Virginia Beach General Hospital, among other endeavors.
