Regent University Welcomes Its Largest Freshman Class and Largest On-Campus Student Body

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (August 25, 2025) — Regent University is delighted to announce the arrival of its largest on-campus student body and its largest incoming freshman class. For the fall 2025 semester, more than 2,100 undergraduate and graduate students have enrolled on the Virginia Beach campus, including more than 500 freshmen.

As the largest private nonprofit university in Hampton Roads, and the second largest private nonprofit university in Virginia, Regent anticipates a total enrollment of nearly 14,000 students during the 2025-26 academic year, both on-campus and online.

This notable increase in student enrollment coincides with the university’s 31-acre strategic campus expansion, and ongoing efforts to enhance academic quality and student experience. New state-of-the-art facilities and degree programs are among the initiatives contributing to Regent’s continued growth and reputation for excellence.
