Code: ARTA 120	Introduction to Drawing	Credits: 3	Students will learn observational skills and drawing techniques to enhance technical abilities and creative responses to materials and subject matter. In-depth investigation of line, perspective, space, atmosphere, erasure, and other key components of animation in a wide range of drawing media will be covered. Weekly group critiques and sketchbook assignments are integrated.
Code: ARTA 201	Comparative Anatomy & Figure Drawing	Credits: 3	Intensive practice in correct rendering of the human and animal forms through skeletal and muscular studies looking at stationary poses as well as figures in motion and basic gesturing. Prerequisite: ARTA 120.
Code: DSGN 312	3-D Design Methods	Credits: 3	Three-dimensional phenomena in fine art and design. Cultivates the ability to think, perceive, visualize, design and build in three dimensions using traditional methods and a broad skill set of fabrication techniques.
Code: ARTA 320	Painting	Credits: 3	Building on the foundation skills of drawing, design, and color theory, it focuses on materials and methods while exploring a variety of subjects and pictorial strategies. Includes contemporary and historical work, as well as critical judgment and presentation. Prerequisites: ARTA 120 and DSGN 121.
Code: ARTA 401	Advanced Drawing	Credits: 3	In-depth study of drawing methods & techniques and development of personal style. Prerequisite: ARTA 201.
