Investigates the global problems that influence and shape contemporary and future government decision-making. Attention is given to such important problems as terrorism, poverty, human trafficking, disease, the digital revolution, the global economy, immigration as well as to how governments are responding to such challenges.
GOVT 340American Foreign Policy3
Examines the history of U.S. foreign policy up until the present era with special attention to topics such as U.S. military, economic, and human rights policy. Course also examines the changing concepts of power, the national interest, and grand strategy and learning in U.S. foreign policy as these relate to various world regions. Prerequisite: GOVT 204.
GOVT 360Religion & Politics3
Examines how religion and politics influence each other in the U.S. and globally, including discussion of church-state relations, religious liberty, religious persecution, religiously motivated political behavior, religious terrorism, secularization and how political ideas and policies shape religious belief and practice.

Step 2: Submit Your Unofficial Transcripts

Submit your unofficial high school or college transcripts to regent.edu/items.

Upon submitting your application, you will receive an email requesting authorization for Regent University to obtain your official transcripts from your U.S. degree-granting institution. International transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES, AACRAO or NAFSA approved agency.

Step 3: Submit Your Government-Issued ID

To ensure academic integrity, Regent University requires a copy of a government-issued ID. Please submit a scanned copy or photograph of it to regent.edu/items.

Step 4: Submit Your FAFSA

Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov Regent's school code is 030913.

What is an international relations degree?

International relations involves the study of affairs between countries and political organizations within countries, including political parties, bureaucracies and more. International relations take disciplines like history, psychology, and economics to the world stage.

A degree in international relations can teach you how to think about the impacts that groups and individuals have on each other across various subjects. Through a degree in foreign policy and international relations, you may learn how to interact with and address global issues.

What can you do with an international relations degree?

A degree in this field is cross-discipline, it can be used for a wide variety of occupations. You can become a civil servant, marketing manager, diplomat, financial manager, etc. Studying international relations is especially helpful when working for companies or organizations working beyond national borders.
