TITLE IV LOANS: If students are receiving Title IV Federal Student Loans, they are permitted to enroll in the same course number a maximum of only two semesters. Therefore, doctoral students are encouraged to carefully plan the dissertation/final project stage of their program.

The School of Business & Leadership is committed to the historical foundations of the doctoral degree in which a community of scholars is created among faculty mentors and student scholars. Regent University mirrors this historical tradition by using student cohorts, intensive online residencies and a variety of interactive discussion modes that extend beyond topical course discourse.

The Doctor of Strategic Leadership (DSL) program in the School of Business & Leadership includes two required residencies, held virtually. The first residency covers program orientation and guidelines, the library use course (UNIV LIB Information Research & Resources) as well as class instruction for the first two courses of the core curriculum. The second residency focuses on class instruction for the courses to be taken in the semester as well as doctoral program requirements such as the Final Project.

“One of the most powerful experiences I had during this mentorship was realizing I wasn’t walking this road alone. The encouragement, the accountability, and the honest conversations gave me fuel to keep pressing forward when old mindsets tried to creep in. I found clarity in my purpose, and being surrounded by others who were just as committed to growth and healing gave me hope and strength. I was provided a referral for future collaboration. I learned to embrace my voice, sharpen my vision, and step more confidently into the calling God placed on my life. Future participants—come with an open heart and expect transformation. It’s more than mentorship—it’s a divine encounter with destiny”
Janet L. Garcia, Doctor of Strategic Leadership, 2025 Mentee
“This has been a great experience. Life-changing and thankful to have these new skillsets and understanding.”
Lisa McGrath, MBA, ‘25
“Regent's program resonated with me because it's about servant leadership and mentoring and coaching. That is so important. At the end of the day, it's about the legacy you leave behind.”
Kelly Tanner, DSL, 2017 Dental Hygienist
“My Regent degree enables me to offer different perspectives and approaches to problem-solving, team management and innovation — all through a biblical worldview. Utilizing courses and making them relevant in day-to-day functions has been extremely rewarding.”
Kelli Ragland, MBA, 2015 Director of Marketing, Langley Federal Credit Union
“The Executive Mentor Program was a game changer for me, and I strongly recommend it. My mentor and I initially focused on my professional development. With God's leading, our focus expanded to include my spiritual and leadership development. It became a holistic experience, which is why it worked. It was a phenomenal experience for me. The key is to approach it with an open heart and prayer. Be open to what God is doing in your life and the direction God is taking you. Pray to be matched with somebody who can help prepare you for where God is taking you, not someone who will help you stay where you are. Trust the process, and trust God”
Dawn Patterson, M.A. in Organizational Leadership, 2024 Mentee
